Who is Abigail Wearne?
Abigail Wearne is an accomplished soprano known for her timeless sound and incredible ability to connect with her audiences. Abigail performs a wide variety of music, including but not limited to, soft pop, jazz, country, classical (opera), and musical theatre. Abigail Wearne continues to perform around Windsor-Essex County in gigs, services, ceremonies, and in concerts. You may catch Abigail performing as a soloist, in a duo called the Virtuosos, or as part of a group with other local artists. Abigail is proud to offer intimate vocals for varying venues and events.
Abigail achieved an Honours Bachelors Degree with an Honours Specialization in Political Science and a Minor in Vocal Performance from Western University. There, she was part of Dr. Todd Wieczorek’s Studio for four years. Concurrently, Abigail was involved in professional ensembles (St. Cecilia Singers, Les Choristes, and Chorale) at Western University, under the tutelage of Dr. Gloria Gassi and Dr. Tracy Wong.
Abigail’s history of performance in Windsor-Essex County is a longstanding one with a number of production companies such as Little Tomato Children’s Theatre, Migration Hall Productions, The Bank Theatre, Music Moves Kids, and Abridged Opera. She has also been involved with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra. She was trained in the Erin Armstrong Studio and studied with Melissa Ciotoli, prior to her time at Western University.
